EPIC (Every Person In Community) is an afterschool program that supports the needs of students and their families. We provide a fun and safe place for Kindergarteners through fifth graders, offering an enriched environment of inside and outside activities. We offer classes with a teacher to student ratio of 1:15. EPIC is a ministry of Mercer Island Presbyterian Church and we love encouraging our students in their faith development. You do not need to be a member of MIPC to join EPIC Days.

Our philosophy
At EPIC Days, we value each and every student. We are committed to creating a welcoming and engaging environment where all students see themselves as valuable members of our community.
We believe that children thrive when they feel known, are accepted and foster supportive relationships with adults and peers. The staff at EPIC encourages growth but does not push or pressure children. We encourage students to create, to use initiative, to explore ideas, and to make clear choices. We strive to recognize each child’s social, emotional, cognitive, spiritual, and physical needs, and we allow children to be children.

The staff at EPIC will encourage students to express themselves, use initiative, explore ideas and develop relationships. We strive to provide a program which recognizes each student’s social, emotional, cognitive, spiritual and physical needs, and we allow children to be children.
FAith Formation
We believe that children thrive when they feel known, are accepted and foster supportive relationships with adults and peers. We believe that each child is a gift from God and our goal is to help them come to know and love Jesus Christ as their personal savior, Lord, and friend. As we are in relationship and share the love of God with one another or hope is to foster a wonderment and desire for our community to experience the love and grace of God. We also understand and respect each child’s and each family’s place in their faith journey.
