EPIC (Every Person In Community) is an afterschool program that supports the needs of students and their families. We provide a fun and safe place for Kindergarteners through fifth graders, offering an enriched environment of inside and outside activities. We offer classes with a teacher to student ratio of 1:15. EPIC is a ministry of Mercer Island Presbyterian Church and we love encouraging our students in their faith development. You do not need to be a member of MIPC to join EPIC Days.

Our philosophy
At EPIC Days, we value each and every student. We are committed to creating a welcoming and engaging environment where all students see themselves as valuable members of our community.
We believe that children thrive when they feel known, are accepted and foster supportive relationships with adults and peers. The staff at EPIC encourages growth but does not push or pressure children. We encourage students to create, to use initiative, to explore ideas, and to make clear choices. We strive to recognize each child’s social, emotional, cognitive, spiritual, and physical needs, and we allow children to be children.

We are excited to be back every week on Wednesdays for Club EPIC. This is a program that offers fun, childcare, and community on our MISD early release Wednesdays. Our Winter Program will run Wednesdays, January 3, 2024 - February 28, 2024. Winter 2024 Club EPIC Registration Form below:
2023-2024 ADD-ON DAYS:
We offer “add-on” days that are open for individual registration, to help support families with childcare during the MISD teacher development days. These offerings are on the following days:
Monday, October 9 MISD PD Day—9:00 am-1:00 pm
Friday, November 10 Veteran’s Day —9:00 am-1:00 pm
Monday, November 20 MISD PD Day—9:00 am-1:00 pm
Tuesday, November 21 MISD PD Day—9:00 am-1:00 pm
Monday, January 22 MISD PD Day—9:00 am-1:00 pm
EPIC’s schedule works in relationship with the MISD schedule and have some additional “Add-On” options to join when there is no school due to conferences or staff professional development days. It is $45 per day for each child.
