To our fellow MIPC community members: A special message from the Staffing Task Force
Dear Friends,
With great joy, we wanted to let you know that at the Wednesday, March 16 meeting of Session, the MIPC Staffing Task Force unanimously recommended continuing the Co-Pastor model at MIPC and calling Paul Barrett to the position of Co-Pastor, joining Co-Pastor Sheri Edwards Dalton. Session has accepted our recommendation and has called a congregational meeting for Sunday, April 17 at 11:45am for the purpose of voting on this recommendation to call Paul as co-pastor and to then dissolve the associate pastor position that he currently holds. We wanted to share with you documents we prepared as context for and supporting that recommendation. These documents are reprinted in their entirety below.

Latest Update on our Transitional Processes
Through the strategic planning process, the leadership and congregation of MIPC have been discerning who God is calling us to be over the next five years. The Strategic Planning Team is pleased to announce that the summary version of the MIPC Strategic Plan is now available above and printed copies are also available in the main office.
We are thankful for all the joys and blessings God has provided for us in the past and are excited for the journey God has for us in the future! We invite you to prayerfully read this Strategic Plan and consider how God is calling you to be a part of this journey.
The findings and recommendations in this plan are intended to assist us in achieving our five year goals by serving as a guide in our ministry planning for the future. The Strategic Planning Team will be working with Session, Staff, and our ministry areas to develop a detailed implementation plan of specific actions based on the broad guiding principles outlined in our Strategic Plan.
This was a team effort and we so appreciate the efforts of Session, Staff, and other MIPC leaders, as well as everyone in the congregation. Thanks for all your hard work as together we prayerfully listened and discerned to hear God's call for MIPC. Now is the time for all of us to join together in discovering and experiencing "who" God is calling us to be as Christ's followers in this community and in the world.
