2012 – 2013 Pebble Preschool Registration.

If you are looking for a loving home for your Preschooler, please come visit the Pebble. We would love to show you the classrooms, introduce you to the teachers and answer any questions that you might have about the program. Our 2012-13 Registration has begun at the Pebble. It is an exciting time thinking about next year and the families that will continue at the Pebble and the new families that will join us. We have programs for children 2 1/2 - 6 years of age. Our preschool classes offer, two, three, four and five day options for various ages. We have an after Kindergarten option on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The MIPD school buses bring your children from their morning Kindergarten class to our doorstep for lunch and afternoon enrichment! Our Registrations deadlines are January 31st for current families, February 7th for Alumni and shurch members and February 14th for the General Public.

New Year at the Pebble brings Registration, Conferences and Love and Logic. January is a busy month!

Registration for the 2012-13 year has begun. Re-enrollment packets have gone out to our Pebble Families with recommendations for next year's class placement. The staff and director discussed each child and recommended the class that would be best for the child.

Conferences take place during the second and third week of January. We feel that this uninterrupted time is important to hear parents' questions and concerns about their child and it offers staff a time to report progress and feedback to the parents.

Love and Logic- Every year we offer the Parent Education opportunity with Cindy Horst teaching how to raise children responsible for their actions. Parenting couples are encouraged to attend and learn how to parent without anger. It gives insight for helping children to learn to make good choices and to understand that there are consequences for your actions.

 Upcoming Events

Love and Logic-Four Thursdays in January with Cindy Horst! January 5,12,19,26 from 7-9PM. We will meet in the Fireside Room for light refreshments and class!

Parent Conferences will be the Week of January 23-27. Conferences will be held in the classrooms with the exception of those classes that share a morning and afternoon room.

Enrollment/Registration will begin January 5 with the Pebble Family Registration deadline January 31st, Alumni & Church Member deadline February 7th and the General Public February 14th. You may register after these deadlines, but there will no longer be priority status.

Field Trips: The Mercer Island Fire Department will visit for an in school field trip on January 26th and 27th with our Threes classes. The Mercer Island Police Department will visit for an in school field trip on February 1st and 2nd also with the Threes classes. Our PEZ class will be starting the Valentine season by seeing how chocolates are made.

PreK Enrichment- The January Enrichment Specialist will be Rachael Lowe who will be stretching and bending with Yoga. The February Enrichment Specialist will be Rosa Teorell who will be having fun with Spanish with the class. Ole!

No School- There will be no school on February 20 and 21st to celebrate President's Day!

THANK YOU to our Janel Foss for Coordinating the Cookie Party after the Christmas Program. Also thank you to the committe that helped set up and clean up and the bakers and buyers that provided the delicious treats.

THANK YOU to Julie Newell and Tina Skidmore who coordinated our Mission/Outreach project for Tree House. The tree with gift tags for foster children was well received by the generous families at the Pebble.
