Care + Prayer Ministries
Caring Ministries at MIPC is committed to the “mission within”. We are called to love one another as Christ loved us, to embrace one another’s uniqueness, to share the burden and joy of our lives…to walk alongside others in their time of need in the following ways:
Deacons: Deacons will be assigned to each member to be a contact in times of joy or concern & provide visitation for shut-in and home communion. Contact Pastor Sheri Edwards Dalton (SheriED@MIPC.org | (206) 232-5595 x238).
Bereavement Ministry: For those grieving a loss and interested in support, please contact Rev. Dr. Rita-Lou Clarke at (206) 232-9282.
Knitting Ministry: Knits and gives prayer shawls to people in need. Contact Linda Fowler at (206) 232-3307.
Meals In Crisis: Supports people recovering from illness or who are temporarily incapacitated by providing meals. Contact Ruth Ann Biggers (RuthAnnB@MIPC.org | (206) 232-5595).
Memorial Service Coordination: Provides support and compassion to bereaved families of MIPC and the community and to assist families in preparing a meaningful and appropriate memorial service. Contact the Executive Administer for the Clergy at (206) 232-5595 x207 to make arrangements
Pastoral Care: Pastors are available for hospital, home visits, prayer and counseling. Contact the Executive Administer for the Clergy at (206) 232-5595 x207 to make arrangements
Prayer Chapel: MIPC has a beautiful Prayer Chapel located to the left of the Sanctuary as you enter. It is a space to pray for your personal concerns or for the congregation. All are welcome.
Prayer Ministry: Caring ministries is supported by and incorporates prayer into all aspects of their ministries. Prayer Ministers are available on communion Sundays for anointing prayer for a joy or concern. Staff prayer occurs on Tuesdays when all of the concerns spoken at the Sunday services and on prayer cards are prayed for.

Unsung Heroes: Provides a process of recognition to the faithful members of the church who quietly and faithfully give time and service “beyond the call of duty” behind the scenes for the care of the congregation. Contact Ruth Ann Biggers (RuthAnnB@MIPC.org | (206) 232-5595).
